Algoma Wood Products

a Division of CTI Hospitality Inc.

Algoma Wood Products is a family owned business who specialize in the manufacturing of various wood products and components. We pride ourselves on making quality products at a competitive price while keeping manufacturing in the USA. We are located near the beautiful waters of lake Michigan in Algoma, WI. The Algoma Wood Products name has a strong history of wood working dating back to 1920's. CTI Hospitality Inc. who now occupies the former Algoma Wood Products facility re introduced the name in the mid 2000's. Since then the Algoma Wood Products Division has grown to two facilities and over 120,000 sqft of manufacturing space.

A Brief History

1920: Herb Koch organizes the Algoma Wood Products in 1920. The plant specializes in restaurant, office and hotel Furniture

1924: Algoma Wood Products' quarters are enlarged, Nearly 60 employees move into the new space.

1929: The original Algoma Wood Products' building, is razed to make room for a 3-story brick and concrete building,56 x 74.

1940: Algoma Wood Products goes into receivership.

1940: Algoma Wood Products is liquidated in June.

1940: Algoma Plywood buys the Wood Products building in July and it becomes known as Plant 2

1978: Jag Haegle and Tom Bertram purchase the old Wood Products building.

1990: Brian Davitt and Russ Synhorst purchase what was known as Plywood Plant 2 and call the business Cape Townsend. They specialize in commercial Millwork.

2006: June 1st Cape Townsend is purchases by John and Debbie Kiedrowski and renamed CTI Hospitality Inc. Continuing commercial Millwork and wood products.

2019: CTI Hospitality Inc. expands their operations starting the Algoma Wood Products division and purchasing the "Monarch" building on 340 North water Street for expanded operations.
